Who we are
ToolXStack is an offline toolbox for developers and everyday calculations, published as free and open-source software on GitHub by SM NexStudio. This policy explains what the app does, and does not do, with information on your device. It applies to every version of the Android app.
Data we collect
None.
- No personal information (name, email, phone, contacts, location, photos, files).
- No device identifiers (advertising ID, Android ID, IMEI, IP address).
- No usage analytics, crash reports, telemetry or diagnostics.
- No account, sign-in or cloud sync of any kind.
What the app keeps on your device
The app saves a few preferences in its private, sandboxed storage so it feels the same next time you open it. Nothing you type into a tool is ever written to storage.
- Favourites: the IDs of tools you starred.
- Recents: the IDs of the last 15 tools you opened, with a timestamp.
- Appearance: your theme, mode and style choices, the haptic-feedback switch, and whether you have seen the intro screens.
- Random Picker lists you chose to save, stored as plain text on the device only.
Inputs and results
Text, numbers, JSON, tokens, passwords, colours and every other input are processed in memory on your device and shown back to you. They are never logged, cached to disk, sent anywhere or used to improve anything. Closing a tool discards them.
JWT tokens are decoded locally and their signatures are never verified against a server. Password strength is evaluated locally; the password itself never leaves the input field.
Clipboard and sharing
The app reads the clipboard only when you tap Paste and writes to it only when you tap Copy. It never reads the clipboard in the background, on launch or on focus.
Share hands a result to the Android share sheet; which app receives it is your choice, and that app’s own policy applies from then on. The Stylish Font tool’s Share image renders the text into a PNG inside the app’s private cache folder purely for that hand-off; the file is released immediately afterwards and is never read back, listed or uploaded.
Network access
The release build declares no network permission. The operating system therefore refuses every connection attempt, so the app cannot send or receive data even by accident. Currency conversion uses exchange rates you type in yourself; there are no live rates, update checks or remote configuration.
Permissions
The app requests no runtime permissions. The only install-time permission it uses is VIBRATE, for haptic feedback; it involves no data and can be turned off under Settings → Feedback. It explicitly blocks the following permissions that build tooling would otherwise add:
INTERNETandACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: no network access.READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: no access to your files.AD_ID: no advertising identifier.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: no overlays on other apps.
Third-party code
The app bundles open-source libraries (listed in the app under Open Source Licenses) that run entirely on-device: React Native, Expo modules, @noble/hashes for cryptographic digests and Tabler Icons. None of them contact a server from within this app, and no third party receives data from it. There are no advertising, analytics, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Data retention and deletion
Preferences stay on your device until you clear them. Use Settings → Clear recent tools to remove the recents list, un-star a tool to remove it from favourites, or clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app to remove everything. There is nothing to delete on our side because nothing is ever sent to us.
Security
All processing is local and the app cannot open network connections, which removes the most common ways data leaks from mobile apps. Random values for passwords, UUIDs and games come from the platform’s cryptographically secure random number generator.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version ships inside the app update and the effective date above is revised. This page is updated at the same time, and material changes are also noted in the GitHub release notes.
